I have to admit that I am good at many things, but picking out a gift is just not one of them.  Even though I try to pay attention to what people are saying, I just can’t seem to get it right.

There are many classic examples of this, from the cans of beans that I bought my mother, to the khaki green dress I bought my wife.  Though I had the best intentions in mind, I just didn’t quite get it I guess.

So, instead of trying to come up with another gift idea, I have decided that I would see if I could find a book that had gift giving ideas for me.  That way, I would be able to get something that people would appreciate and not hate, which is what I would like to do anyway.

I haven’t found an appropriate book yet, but I know that there must be something out there for people like me.  I won’t give up until I have found one, and hopefully people will appreciate the gifts that I give out after that point.
