One of my favorite things about getting a new job is that you learn many new things. For example, I did not know how to brew a pot of coffee before I worked in a coffee shop (feel free to laugh).
Perhaps one of the biggest sets of skills that I developed over my different jobs was when I learned how to install vinyl windows while working at a window company back home. Sure, I was only at that job for less than a year, but someday when I do my own home renovations, I think it will be a useful skill to have.
The only thing that I didn’t care about installing replacement windows was the back pain that I ended up with at the end of the day - I was spending a lot of money on chiropractors at the time. Needless to say, I am now doing something completely different, but I do miss those days, installing windows. It was my co-workers that made my job fun.
