I’ve had a number of friends quit their "real jobs" and become full time futures traders.  It may sound a little bit rash, but they did make sure that they knew what they were doing before they quit.

The one thing that I’ve noticed is that they are living the lifestyle that I have dreamed of all my life and I want to have what they have.  Now I’m not trying to whine or get anyone’s sympathy, but rather explain my incentives for what I want in my life.

In order to turn my life into his theirs, I have started a virtual futures trading account.  With my virtual money, I have the opportunity to practice investing on the futures market so that I will know what to do when my money is at stake.

I have decided that based on my success in the virtual markets, I will invest a small portion of my life savings to try out my new skills.  Hopefully, I will be able to quit my job in the next year and live the life that I have always dreamed of.
